1. Browser Print Dialog Settings
| Paper size | Set to 57x32mm (create a custom size in the driver if not listed) |
| Margins | Set to None or Minimum |
| Scale | Set to 100% (do not use "Fit to page" or "Fit to printable area") |
| Headers/footers | Turn OFF (uncheck to remove URL/date text from edges) |
2. Zebra Printer Driver Settings (Crucial)
If you get alternating blank labels or the print is shifted down, you must configure the driver on the computer:
- Windows: Go to Settings → Printers & Scanners → Zebra GK420d → Printing Preferences. Under Page Setup, define/select stock size as exactly 57 mm width and 32 mm height. Set all Margins to 0.
- macOS (CUPS): Go to localhost:631 in browser or select Zebra print options. Set Media Size to Custom (57x32mm) and Margins to 0.
- Sensor Type: In driver settings, ensure Media Type is set to Web Sensing or Gap/Notch (not "Continuous").
3. Hardware Calibration
Once the driver settings match the physical stock size, recalibrate the sensor:
- Hold the printer's Feed button down.
- Release it immediately after it blinks twice (roughly 5 seconds).
- The printer will feed a few labels to measure the gaps and align the sensor.
